Today. We’re interviewing an author regarding to his new book.
The book Abhinash Chakraborty written by Souvik Roy is a crime thriller. I’m in love with Crime Thrillers these days.
Here’s the blurb
👌A CBI officer and father receives the shock of his life when he meets his new SSP as he is his daughter’s boyfriend who went missing seven years ago. They meet while investigating a murder case but their further interactions reveal that SSP sir is involved in some big case. A shocking high-profile case which involves codes, puzzles, spies and a lot of deceptions. They have joined hands but will the narrator be able to choose the right side as things are not what they seem at all.👌
The interview goes like.
📌 What was the moment that made you a book lover person?
– The moment when I grabbed the book “A Study In Scarlet” by Conan Doyle. I realized that reading thriller is a lot better than watching as when you read, you can imagine a scenario and create it mentally. There is no comparison to that effect.
📌Your book has a story about Police officers. Are any characters from you book are inspired from someone in real life?
Well, if you read the book then you’ll realize that Police Officers were not the main part of the story(Spoilers ahead). Well, The story isn’t about police officers actually, please don’t provoke me to spill spoilers.
📌How much time did it took to finish the book?
About two months.
📌Your favourite quotes from the book?
Well two personal favorites of mine are : 1) Fear is the best energy supplier and 2) Rage takes away our wisdom, a weapon without which an expert can lose to a novice.
📌While you were writing the book, did you go through writer’s block?
No, I took measures to prevent writer’s block. I had already written the plot as a summary before I started writing. And there were other tricks as well, which are my special ones, so sorry but I won’t share them.
– (Regarding above question) If yes, then how did you overcome it?
📌It’s just a random question but I’m curious about it. Are you a tea or a coffee person?
I’m a tea person. I can make very good masala Tea( taught by my father)
📌What else you do when you’re not reading or writing?
I am a college student, so I basically study. Other hobbies of mine include theater, drawing and guitar.
📌Any future book you’re working on?
Yes, another mystery thriller titled “His Last Words”.
📌 Something you would say to our aspiring future authors !?
Believe that you are the best and you’ll definitely succeed. Reading too many books alone won’t make you a good writer. One book alone can teach you how to write good so choose books wisely. Reading one great book is better then reading five trash books.
Now I feel like I should get a copy as fast as possible and post it’s review too. Your answers are like a motivation especially the last one.
