During her college years she experiences wave of emotions while learning about her own behaviour.
When she comes back home she did a fail attempt of suicide and end up in a psychiatric hospital.
During her treatment she struggles with her emotions again and find herself in dilemmas. Ester always questions the traditions and ideas which are normalised by everyone.
Her own dignity and womenhood Her failures and love affairs. But most importantly her own sanity which always kept her awake and wrecked at the same time.
The portrayal of emotions and struggles are so poetic and overwhelming.
Bell jar is so relatable and a must read.
